Do I need a wallet? Which one should I test with?
No wallet is needed to explore, chat or play free dice. For wallet testing, please create a fresh Backpack wallet with a new recovery phrase. Use only a small test balance and keep your main funds and NFTs in your usual wallet. Never enter your recovery phrase on this site. Official Backpack setup guide ↗
What can I actually do here?
Explore the shared 3D district, chat with other travelers, dress your character, throw the blue ball, suggest ideas and vote on the community board. The Atelier has wearable gear. The Blue Hour has free dice tables. The Exchange has market boards and wallet-approved Jupiter swaps.
How do I keep my traveler when I change browsers?
Open Your traveler in the browser you already play in and choose Save with Backpack. Approve a sign-in message to link that traveler, keeping your number, outfit and WAO. On another browser, enter your invitation and continue with the same wallet account. Signing in does not move funds or charge a fee. A private recovery key is an optional backup.
Are these prices final? Can I buy access now?
The first invited playtest is free. The $4.20 and $40.20 prices are later ideas, expressed in USD and paid in the equivalent amount of the Just a Backpack meme token (JBP) if a checkout is introduced. Payment verification and supporter extras are still being designed. There is no checkout or paid reservation on this page.
Is the first group limited to 100 people?
The size of the first beta group will follow what we can comfortably test together. A possible edition of 100 founding backpacks is a separate cosmetic idea. It would not permanently limit how many people can join the world. No founding bags have been numbered or minted.
How do I become eligible for a Founding Backpack?
Complete Pack Your First Bag: visit the Exchange, make a prediction with free WAO, finish a house dice round, collect an Atelier item and save your traveler with your wallet. One WAO is enough for the prediction; you don’t need to win. Free dice practice and the free Original Red backpack count. Claim your one-time 420 WAO reward to save your eligibility for consideration for the planned 100 Founding Backpacks. Earlier saved progress counts, and already completed quests stay complete. Eligibility does not guarantee selection; allocation details are still to come. No Exchange signup, deposit, token trade or paid purchase is required.
Do Mad Lads and Backpack community members get first access?
The first wave is a free, privately invited playtest for Mad Lads holders and Backpack community members. Use the invitation code sent to you to enter. Codes are private bearer invitations, not automatic proof of NFT ownership. We will grow the group as we test together.
Are the wearables NFTs? Do dice use real tokens?
Today’s gear is saved in the game as playtest items collected with free WAO Points, not minted NFTs. Play travelers or the house for practice or 1–100 free WAO Points. Traveler bets require both players to agree. WAO cannot be bought or cashed out.
Does buying access earn official Backpack BP rewards?
Buying access would not automatically qualify anyone for official Backpack BP rewards. Any separate holder reward program would depend on its published rules and distribute to eligible holder wallets. JBP, the Just a Backpack meme token proposed for payment, is distinct from the official Backpack BP token.
