THE WAY FORWARD
A small world.
A shared direction.
We are building a place for the group chat to belong. Here is what works today, what needs care next, and what we could make together.
WAO. We Are One.
A world shaped by the people in it.This roadmap is a working direction. Priorities can change with community feedback. No fixed dates or promised outcomes.
A place to show up.
The first neighborhood is here. A square, a few familiar corners, and the beginnings of a shared routine.
- A free invitation
- Enter with a private playtest code. No wallet or purchase is needed to join the first crew.
- Meet in the square
- Walk around the 3D district, chat with other travelers, wave, and pass the blue ball.
- Make it yours
- Hairstyles, the red backpack, Blue Ball charm, FOCK IT tee and WAO sticker. Collect gear with free WAO points.
- Explore, earn, repeat
- Claim 30 WAO once for visiting the Atelier, Exchange and Blue Hour. Complete three two-player rounds with a winner to claim 15 WAO each UTC day, whether you win or lose.
- Stay for a roll
- Two dice each, highest total wins. Play travelers or the house for practice or 1–100 free WAO Points. Both travelers agree to each bet. Or join a free eight-player tournament.
- Lucky Lads
- A weekly dice board for bragging rights. Your first ten two-player rounds with a winner count; qualify after ten. Most wins leads, equal scores share a rank, and ties do not count.
- Talk markets
- Market and news boards, Jupiter quotes, and a wallet-approved swap interface. Completion of a real trade still needs to be tested.
- Put your ideas on the board
- Post feedback in the square, upvote ideas and see what the community wants to improve.
Make the first visit feel easy.
A free, invite-only first wave for Mad Lads holders and invited Backpack community members. Get the fundamentals right together.
- A friendlier first visit
- Improve the welcome and directions to the square, shops and dice tables with feedback from the first group.
- A traveler you can come back to
- Reliable accounts and save recovery so a new browser or cleared cookies do not mean starting over. Put this in place before introducing paid features.
- A small group, in the same place
- Host a guided test with 5–8 people. Check joining, chatting, dressing up and completing a dice game together.
- Room for good company
- Reporting and moderation tools, clearer community rules, and smoother performance across different devices.
A bag with a story.
Let what you wear reflect where you have been and who you have met. Keep identity useful beyond one screen.
- A possible founding edition
- Explore 100 numbered backpacks with personal details. An optional cosmetic edition, separate from the size of the beta group.
- Charms that grow with you
- More visible attachments, clothing and small reminders of community moments. Today’s test items remain distinct from future editions.
- Ownership other worlds can recognize
- Verify Solana ownership and package wearable 3D files in the portable GLB format. Each destination would still need to support the item.
- Useful token interactions
- Consider JBP access, item purchases and direct user transfers after payment, delivery and recovery are verified. No token checkout is live today.
From a district to a world.
The interesting part is what other people bring. Give the community good tools and room to make something of its own.
- An open-source starting point
- A practical starter kit for creating a room, a hangout or a new community corner.
- Build with AI, publish with care
- AI-assisted room building with human review for quality, safety and compatibility before a space joins the world.
- Places that connect
- Portals between community hangouts, with clear rules for who owns items and how they work across spaces.
- More reasons to stay
- Explore voice chat and light RuneScape-style activities: gathering, making things and finding a favorite spot with friends.
Make the first night
one to come back to.
Small, hosted tests come first. Private invitation entry is built; the next step is to try it together. We will widen access after people can get in, find each other and keep their progress.
Awaiting group testing- 01Get everyone through the door.
Private invitations and a clear first visit.
- 02Meet around the same table.
A guided 5–8 person social and dice test.
- 03Come back to the same traveler.
Saved gear and progress, useful feedback and fixes.
STILL ON THE TABLE
A few open
conversations.
These ideas need more work before they become features or commitments.
A transparent development treasury
If the project becomes eligible for official Backpack BP distributions, verified receipts could support development with visible spending records. Eligibility and actual receipts must be confirmed first. This would not give access buyers treasury ownership, yield or a promised airdrop.
Token-based dice
Research only, with no launch commitment. Dice against travelers or the house can use free WAO Points. These points cannot be bought or cashed out. Tournaments have no stakes. Any token version would need a separate decision and review.
How the community helps choose
Ideas and upvotes on the board help us see what people care about. We will balance that feedback with what makes the world reliable, welcoming and enjoyable. AI can help us build quickly; changes still need review.
JBP is the Just a Backpack meme token. It is separate from the official Backpack BP token. Buying access would not automatically qualify someone for official Backpack BP holder rewards.
